Musical: Made in Dagenham
When? 26 Jul 2017 to 29 Jul 2017
Where? Christchurch
It’s back to the swinging sixties as the award-winning Highcliffe Charity Players get groovy with their latest musical – Made in Dagenham.
Based on the much-loved British film, it’s a fun-filled, high octane, feel good show inspired by true-life events – the 1968 women’s strike at Ford Dagenham which would lead to the Equal Pay Act of 1970.
So join Dagenham’s feisty sewing machinists (not to mention Prime Minister Harold Wilson and Secretary of State for Employment Barbara Castle) for an uplifting musical comedy about friendship, love and the importance of fighting for what is right.
Venue: Regent Centre
