  • WOW Youth Musical Theatre: Me and My Girl

We are continuing the celebration of our 35th anniversary year with this production of the classic musical comedy ‘Me and My Girl’. Set in the late 1930s, it tells the story of working class cockney lad Bill Snibson, who has a chance to live the high life after he learns that he is the long-lost heir to the Earl of Hareford. Will he have to ditch his cockney girlfriend, though, to please the stuck-up aristocrats who don’t think she’ll make the grade?

This hilarious musical was revised in the 1980s by Stephen Fry and director, Mike Ockrent and, starring Robert Lindsay and Emma Thompson, won two Olivier and three Tony awards. Fun musical numbers from the era, such as, The Lambeth Walk, The Sun Has Got His Hat On and Leaning on a Lamppost enhance the feel good nature of the show.

Venue: Pavilion Theatre
