Visit Portland Bill where your experience changes with the weather. On a stormy day you can witness first hand the awesome power of the sea. On a still summer's day the views are stunning as the sea take on a clam tranquil face.
With the help of a generous grant from its Maritime Charity Trinity House has renovated the Visitor Centre at Portland Bill Lighthouse. The exhibition Dark and Light contains a number of displays and historical artefacts. The main exhibit will allow you to learn about the lighthouse and its keepers and find out about Trinity House the organisation that has operated lighthouses and safeguarded the mariner for over 500 years.

Learn about the working of Portland Bill Lighthouse and the different aids to navigation
Use LED light to create a lighthouse character and play the lighthouse spinning game!
Understand how satellite navigation and emerging technology helps the mariner.
Please note there is a minimum height restriction of 1.1m to climb the tower.
Directions
The lighthouse is located on the Southerly tip of the Isle of Portland. 1.2 miles south of the village of Easton. A pay and display car park is adjacent to the site.
