Picnic in the Park Bournemouth

When? 14 September 2019
Where? Bournemouth

  • Picnic in the Park Bournemouth

Picnic in the Park is a health and wellbeing event brought to you in partnership with Natural Choices, Stepping into Nature and Active Dorset's Active Ageing project.

The events aim to promote health and wellbeing, both physical, mental and social, in the natural environment. For the Picnic in the Parks to have a 'local feel' we aim to work with local councils and green spaces to support with the planning and running of events.

LiveWell Dorset are also a key organisation at the events, providing Health MOTs and promoting the use of their 'Activity Finder' to support people accessing nature and being more active going forwards.

The events are free of charge and are aimed at local residents. Picnic in the Park events will showcase local opportunities to be active and access nature by having a number of interactive stalls and free activity taster sessions to get involved in. We encourage you to grab a picnic and join us at the Picnic in the Park near you and get involved in all the activities we have to offer.

Venue: Slades Park, Ensbury Avenue, Bournemouth.

Time: 11am to 3pm

Whether you’re a cling-to-the-side kind of skater or have a Torville and Dean style, ice skating is a fab activity for all and a great way to get together with friends and family to have ... Dorset Beaches Dorset is surrounded by an 88-mile stretch of quite remarkable coastline. There are the major beaches such as the award-winning Bournemouth Beach and Weymouth Beach, along with the many smaller beaches such as Church Ope Cove. Take a look at some of many: Chesil ...
