Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Torchlight Procession

When? 02 June 2022
Where? Lyme Regis

  • Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Torchlight Procession

Lyme Regis Regatta & Carnival Committee are organising a special Torchlight Procession which will take place on the evening of Thursday 2nd June, the first day of an extended 4-day bank holiday.

Join in this iconic event as participants walk with flaming torches through Langmoor Gardens down to the seafront and on to the sandy beach where a circle of light is formed before the Mayor of Lyme Regis ignites a beacon on the North Wall of the harbour.

We'd love to see as many people as possible join the procession as torchbearers or just come along and watch this wonderful spectacle from the gardens or along the seafront.

It’s a wonderful experience for those taking part and a truly breathtaking spectacle for those watching.

Reserve your place in the procession by purchasing your torches and LED foam batons in advance online.

Torches are available for £5 each. Foam LED batons for children under 16 cost just £3.00. All available via the website below.
