Pantomime: Sleeping Beauty

When? 18 Jan 2019 to 19 Jan 2019
Where? Swanage

  • Pantomime: Sleeping Beauty

Swanage Drama Company is back with their annual family pantomime.

The family pantomime Sleeping Beauty is set in the Kingdom of Lesser Ozonia, ruled over by King Forget-me-not and Queen Hyacinth and protected by the Swanage National Institute of Flower Fairies (S.N.I.F.F). Evil Fairy Carabosse is angry at not being invited to the new royal baby’s Christening. Assisted by dozy sidekick Henbane, Carabosse is plotting to make sure that Princess Peachblossom pricks her finger on a spinning wheel.

Will the good fairies of the forest, led by Anemone, Bluebell and Dandelion, save the day?
Will Dame Dockleaf, the Princess’ nurse, get her man, the very blonde Earl of Essex?
Most importantly, will Prince Robin Reliant be brave enough to battle through the enchanted forest, slay the dragon and wake Sleeping Beauty?

All this and much more will be revealed when you come to see Sleeping Beauty at the Mowlem Theatre, Swanage.

Performances are Friday and Saturday 11th and 12th January and Friday and Saturday 18th and 19th January with matinees on both Saturdays at 2pm.

Venue: Mowlem Theatre
