Top Firework Displays in Dorset 2026

Weymouth Fireworks

Important notice: Due to current government advice relating to fire risk, some summer fireworks displays in Dorset have been affected. Bournemouth Beach Fireworks cancelled their display on Friday 15th and 21st August, and it is not yet confirmed whether any remaining Friday night displays will go ahead. Weymouth's Monday displays are currently continuing as planned, as they take place over water (24th August has been cancelled due to high winds). Wareham Wednesdays aand Poole Quay fireworks (Poole cancelled 20th August) — please check with organisers before travelling. We will update this page as information becomes available.

1. Weymouth Beach Fireworks

Location: Weymouth Beach
Dates: Every Monday from 3rd - 31st August. Two of these displays will be lower noise fireworks (10th & 24th August).
Experience: Free fireworks right from the beach! Weymouth’s summer fireworks displays attract visitors from all over the region. The combination of sea, sand, and sparks in the sky creates a truly unforgettable evening.

2. Wareham Wednesdays & Wareham Fireworks

Location: Wareham Quay
Dates: Every Wednesday from 5th - 26th August.

Dates: Fridays at 10pm from 24th July til Friday 28th August 2026.
Why Go: Watch spectacular fireworks light up the sky over Bournemouth beach. These displays are set off near Bournemouth Pier and are part of the town’s vibrant summer festivities. Bournemouth beach fireworks are free to attend and perfect for families, couples, and groups.

4. Poole Quay Fireworks

Location: Poole Quay 
Dates: Every Thursday evening from 6th August - 27th August
Highlights: Live music, street entertainment, and fireworks over the harbour. This event is a summer favourite, the quayside is bustling with plenty of places to sit alfresco for dinner. Arrive early to get the best spot for watching Poole Fireworks along the quay.
