Chesil Beach Cafe
Abbotsbury, Dorset
Bullers Way, Abbotsbury, Dorset, DT3 4LA
This secret hidden gem of a beach café is tucked away on the world famous Chesil coastline. A stones throw from Abbotsbury and on the stunning South West Coast Path.
Taken over by Sally of Sally’s Fish Camp in May 2024, the café serves breakfast, seafood lunches and fresh homemade artisan bakes, to eat and dine in alfresco or to takeaway to the beach. All deliciously fresh, seasonal and sourced locally. From daily sweet pastries through to local Portland crab sandwiches!
Chesil Beach Café has one of the few access points to the Chesil banks by foot, car & pony! There is a sturdy, easy access boardwalk from the car park to the beach, of which is dog friendly too.
There is plenty of parking (currently £1ph) and 24hr toilet facilities.
A short walk away from the café is the Chesil bank fleet lagoon nature reserve, Abbotsbury Swannnery, St Catherine's Chapel (famous for its amazing views), Abbotsbury Subtropical Gardens and known locally as the ‘Dragons Teeth’ - anti tank traps that remain from WW2 and are a go to spot for sea anglers.
Take in the sea air, the stunning landscape and coastline. We would love for you to join us, or have a memorable picnic on the beach.
Fully Licensed, we have a mouthwatering selection of alcoholic drinks, from local ciders to wine, chosen to perfectly pair with our menu and available to take away up onto the beach.
Keep an eye on our events calendar throughout the year - tickets sell fast!
Party / Group / Table bookings welcomed, for 8 people or more.
