Cinderella would like to go to the festival, Jack must sell his cow, Little Red Riding Hood needs to visit Grandma, and the Baker and his wife want a child. To get their wishes they must go into the woods and enter a world where witches, giants, philandering princes, and a lascivious wolf all co-exist. There are lessons to be learnt in the woods and decisions to be made. Will they get what they wish for? And what happens after "happily ever after"?
Inspired by the stories of the Brothers Grimm, Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine's Tony-award winning musical is brought to glorious life in a co-production between Kokoro (BSO's acclaimed new music ensemble) and graduating students from the Arts University Bournemouth.
