When? 10 Aug 2024 to 11 Aug 2024
Where? Swanage

  • Isle of Purbeck Model Railway Exhibition
  • Isle of Purbeck Model Railway Exhibition

n annual treat for Purbeck’s railway enthusiasts – this exciting model railway exhibition is held across a weekend in Harman’s Cross Village Hall.

There’ll be a number of highly-detailed designs and lovingly-created layouts to explore, with exhibitors coming from across the country to share their creations and chat to members of the public about all things railway.

It’s always a popular event and many choose to combine their visit with a trip on a steam or diesel train on the Swanage Railway – bringing the miniature nostalgia of the exhibition to life.

Everyone is welcome, so if you’re new to the hobby or are interested in learning more, the Model Railway Exhibition is a great chance to chat to a friendly and knowledgeable community.

Refreshments will be available to purchase, alongside a range of trade stands where you can find an array of model railway coaches, wagons, figures and accessories to add to your collection – or to start your very first model railway layout.

The Swanage Railway shop at Swanage Station has model trains and parts available to buy all year round, as well as at its many events, such as its diesel gala.

Arrive to the exhibition by train into Harman’s Cross Railway Station or park just across the road in the village hall car park (small donation).
