Stunts, Sheep & Showtime in Dorset!

Get ready for one of the biggest weekends in the county calendar – the Dorset County Show is back on 6th & 7th September, and is shaping up to be bigger, bolder, and more action-packed than ever.

From stunt bikes and action horses to livestock parades, foodie treats, live music, and hands-on fun for all ages, this is a weekend that truly has something for everyone.

Main Ring Thrills

  • Paul Hannam Stunt Show – jaw-dropping quad bike jumps and extreme precision riding

  • Ben Atkinson and His Action Horses – as seen on Poldark, Victoria and Peaky Blinders

  • Scurry racing, showjumping, sheepdog demos, and the grand livestock parade

Festival Vibes

A brand new music stage showcases Dorset’s local talent and keeps the party going into Saturday evening.

Animals & Agriculture

  • Meet alpacas, heavy horses, goats, pigs, rabbits, guinea pigs – and over 1,000 sheep!

  • Watch sheep shearing, ferret racing, terrier racing, dog shows, and even pig judging.

  • Get hands-on in the Fabulous Food & Farming Area with puzzles, remote control tractors, and why not try your hand at milking a cow!

Food & Farming

  • Explore the Food Hall and Food & Drink Area – packed with local produce and delicious treats.

  • Discover giant pumpkins, prize-winning veg, artisan stalls, and live milling demonstrations.

Tradition & Craft

  • Feel the heat of the forge in the Blacksmiths' area.

  • Marvel at vintage tractors and steam engines.

  • See rural crafts in action across the Countryside and Woodland areas.

Family Fun

With 58 free activities to enjoy – from petting sheep and buzzing into the Bee Tent, to cheering on tug-of-war and watching heavy horses get plaited – the County Show is bursting with fun for every generation.

When & Where

The Dorset County Show runs Saturday 6th & Sunday 7th September 2025, 8.30am - 6pm at the Dorchester Showground, DT2 7SD. Free onsite parking. Children aged 4 and under do not require a ticket. Dogs must be on leads, but not permitted in Food Halls or Livestock Areas.
