Nestled on the edge of the Jurassic coast, boasting stunning views and scenic footpaths, the Smugglers Inn is an idyllic location for those wishing to escape the hustle of the everyday.

Not far from the village of Osmington lies Osmington Mills, with breath-taking views of the Isle of Portland. Dating back to the 13th century, the Smugglers Inn is known to have been the home of the leader of the most notorious gang of smugglers in the area during the 18th and 19th centuries, Emmanuel Charles. An importer of brandy so foul, even the locals refused his offerings.

In its present day, the Smugglers Inn offers award-winning Badger cask ales, lagers from around the world and a menu full of fresh, seasonal dishes cooked by our team of talented chefs, using quality ingredients from regional food partners.

We aim to make your day, whether it be a slight change to your meal, making a celebration extra special or simply providing you with a newspaper to read whilst taking in the scenery.
