Flower Festival

When? 26 Aug 2023 to 28 Aug 2023
Where? Abbotsbury

  • Flower Festival

Join us for a fantastic weekend of arts, crafts, music, food and drink, talks, walks, workshops and more! It will be set in the magical setting of Abbey Farm, Abbotsbury around the Medieval Barn and pond, and around the on-site artisans, Pick Your Own flower farm and cafe.

We would love as many people as possible to get into the spirit of the event and dress in floral clothes, hats, corsages, fascinators and perhaps any four-legged friends might also join in! There will be a prize for the most creative outfit during the Bank Holiday weekend – just come and have your photo taken in the Selfie Station in the courtyard.

The flower festival is a nod to Abbotsbury’s tradition, when the local children carried their beautiful flower and greenery-covered garlands around the village collecting for charity before they placed them at the War Memorial in the churchyard; in the past the garlands used to be cast out to sea.
