Buckham Fair promises a fun-filled day out for all ages, celebrating the very best of rural life and community spirit. Visitors can enjoy a lively programme of dog shows, local trade stalls, delicious food stands and the famous Beer Tent, alongside action-packed displays in the main ring. A traditional fun fair, Heavy Horse displays and a dedicated horse village add to the atmosphere, with plenty more to discover throughout the day.
The Buckham Fair Dog Show returns in 2026 with a full day of activities, featuring fun rings, expert-led events and entertainment for every kind of dog. From fast-paced agility races to light-hearted novelty classes judged by Martin Clunes and Neil Morrissey, the programme offers something for families, handlers and canine enthusiasts alike.
New for 2026, the Festival of the Heavy Horse brings together magnificent Shires, Clydesdales, Suffolks and Belgians for a celebration of heritage, demonstrations and close-up encounters. It’s a true Dorset showcase of working-horse history and rural tradition, making Buckham Fair a must-visit event.
