Summer Music Series: Nova Foresta String Quartet
When? 20 August 2022
Where? Dorchester
Join us at Sculpture by the Lakes for a Murder Mystery finale to our summer season. We have catapulted back to the 1920s as we work together to solve the mystery of the murdered ballerina. Who killed her? How can we catch them? And how will the mystery be solved? Join the hunt, search for clues and watch out for a cameo from the great Simon Gudgeon himself!
Sculpture by the Lakes has commissioned this special murder mystery from Russell Biles and the Strictly Murder team. This brand-new story allows you, the audience, to unravel the puzzle and interview suspects as you enjoy the beautiful surroundings of the sculpture park. The great Sherlock Holmes was fond of playing violin music to mull over his theories, so we have provided the soothing string sounds of the Nova Foresta String Quartet ably captained by Phil Daish-Handy.
The Nova Foresta Classical Players have entertained audiences all over the world. Nova specialises in music from Romantic Era. This dynamic musical force is frequently found performing packed venues across the South. In keeping with our theme, this evening’s performance will include a selection of music from Swan Lake. With a choice of wood fired dining, food from the new Artisan Pantry or bringing your own picnic there are plenty of delicious ways to fuel your brain and solve the mystery.
We do have several tables and chairs, but you can bring your own low backed chairs, rugs and a cushion. Please make sure that any chairs and/or umbrellas will not obscure anyone else’s view.
Arrive at 6.00pm – Pick a great spot and enjoy the atmospheric surroundings, explore the sculpture park and order a drink from the bar before the music starts at 7.00pm.
We have a well-stocked bar, and the new Outdoor Kitchen will be cooking up a storm, preparing delicious food cooked over fire!
Tickets £30 for each performance
Doors open 18.00
Performances start at 19.00
