National Mills Weekend is the annual festival of our UK milling heritage, providing visitors with a fantastic opportunity to hail working mills.
Here at The Town Mill we will be holding a festival to celebrate our ‘Flour Power’ with live music, food & drink, baking and art activities. Guided tours will run all weekend, giving visitors a chance to watch our volunteer millers harness the power of the River Lym to turn the wheel, gears and millstones to produce Town Mill flour.
The creative artisan studios will also be open, so come and watch the potters, jewellery and microbrewery in action!

Operation Overlord – D-DAY 80th Anniversary 6TH June 1944 – 6th June 2024.
This year sees the 80th anniversary of D-Day, and in commemorative events across the county, Dorset will be paying homage to the incredible bravery of allied troops who left South Coast ports and airfields for France on 6th June 1944.
