FORDE ABBEY CONCERT - The Kyan Quartet

This young string quartet, formed in 2020, brings together musicians from Britain, America, China and France. First Prize winners in this year’s Salzburg Chamber Music competition, they have been mentored by members of the Belcea and Doric quartets, and are currently based in Salzburg, working with Rainer Schimdt of the Hagen Quartet. Tours have already taken them across Europe and Asia. They will play the quartet in Eb by Fanny Mendelssohn, Mozart’s Quartet K421 in D minor and Beethoven’s late Op.132 quartet.

Concert starts at 7:30 PM

Hall doors open at 6:30 PM. All seats are unreserved.

The Bar will be open from 6:30 PM and drinks will also be available during the interval.

Audience members are welcome to picnic in the gardens before the concert.

The Undercroft door will also be open from 6pm for those who prefer to picnic inside or incase of inclement weather.
