Beauty captured through music has never been clearer than in this selection of three phenomenal classics from Mendelssohn and Haydn.
Influenced by a myriad of magical stories and stunning surroundings, these two composers succeeded in preserving beautiful images through orchestral works. The BSO are proud to present you with Haydn’s Symphony No. 6 and a double-bill of Mendelssohn’s Symphony No. 4 and Midsummer Night’s Dream Suite.
Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra, Classic FM’s Orchestra in the South of England, present an evening of vivid and enigmatic classical hits. From Mendelssohn’s Shakespeare-inspired Midsummer Night’s Dream Suite to Haydn’s portrait of a sunrise in his Symphony No. 6 (commonly dubbed ‘Le Matin’ for this reason), this evening provides sights unseen through the work of a world-class orchestra, conducted by the BSO’s Young Conductor in Association Marta Gardolińska. As the Summer draws to a close and we prepare for the changing of the seasons, allow the BSO to take you somewhere new.
