Early Bird Walk and Breakfast

When? 01 April 2023
Where? Poole

  • Early Bird Walk and Breakfast

Dorset Wildlife Trust and the National Trust have partnered to offer you an opportunity to enjoy the island and its wildlife before the crowds arrive.

A ranger from the Dorset Wildlife Trust team will lead you on a wander around the island, lakes, and lagoon. Experience the peace and tranquility of the island and listen out for the sounds of the unique wildlife as they busy about their day.

Afterwards, enjoy a delicious breakfast roll and a hot beverage in our harbour fronted café before heading back on the National Trust boat to Sandbanks.

This year we are offering visitors a 10% discount on camping. Arrive the day before on any boat up until 4:30pm (FROM POOLE QUAY) before heading up to the campsite to set up for the night. Join the bird walk at 7:40am the next day. On booking this event you will receive a special discount code for camping. See listing for more information.

The boat will depart from Brownsea at 07:30 am from the National Trust Sandbanks jetty. The event will end and visitors may leave head back to Sandbanks on the 10.20am boat or are able to stay on the island and catch either the 11:20 or 12:30 back to Sandbanks. This is located on the righthand side of the Sandbanks chain ferry.

Please make sure to allow enough time to park (metered roadside parking on Sandbanks peninsula) and arrive at the jetty.

Adults £29, Child £14.50 (over 12s).

Booking essential Tel: 0344 249 1895.
