Race to the Bill

Where? Portland
This is a well established Triathlon race around the Isle of Portland dedicated to one of our members Major Mick Welborn, a giant amongst men, who sadly passed away in September 2019.
THE SWIM
Swimming 1 loop around the breakwater in Portland Harbour, you will negotiate a 750m course around the huge rocks and orange marker buoys exiting the water no more than 50m away from a flat well organised transition area.
THE BIKE 17.5km, 1 lap around Portland, seeing the famous Bill lighthouse and fantastic Chesil Beach stretching for miles along the Jurassic coastline.
THE RUN A totally flat 5km run around the Osprey Quay area of the marina.
Mass start at 08:00 for the Sprint.
