The Sherborne Castle Country Fair presents a rich and fun programme of events, country activities, stands and entertainment including one of the largest Rare Breed Shows in the country. For one day each year, one of the finest settings, with its spectacular grounds and lake surrounding Sherborne Castle, is transformed into a fun-packed Country Fair with attractions, entertainment and activities for all the family. We look forward to welcoming you for a great day out with your family.

The Fair was started by a small group of volunteers, in 1996, with the aim of raising money for local charities, especially those working with children. To date the committee, still run by volunteers, has raised £1.3 million for local charities and support groups.

The aim of the organisers has always been to offer good value for money to visitors and supporters alike. Because Sherborne Castle Country Fair is run by volunteers, it has low overheads and offers a fantastic family day out for any size pocket.
