Wimborne Food Festival 2025

02 September 2025

A Feast of Flavours in Wimborne

Wimborne is a charming town, loved for its independent shops, quaint model town, and incredible foodie spots – so it’s no surprise it has its very own food festival. If you’re a foodie, you won’t want to miss the Wimborne Food Festival, returning this year on Saturday 20th September from 11am to 4pm.

Wimborne Food Festival

Get ready to indulge in a feast of flavours, fun, and local delights as the festival brings together the best of Dorset’s culinary scene. This year’s event is packed with cooking demonstrations, expert talks, artisan stalls, and pop-up foodie experiences all around the town.

Joining the fun are two talented chefs. George Williams, fresh from TV’s MasterChef, will be cooking up delights in the demonstration tent on Willow Walk, sharing why he entered the high-pressure competition and what it’s really like behind the scenes. Chocoholics won’t want to miss Christian Ørner, multi award-winning private chef, chocolatier, TEDx speaker, and member of the England National Culinary Team. Christian heads up Poole-based SALT Cø, bringing the restaurant experience straight to your own kitchen – and even tackling the washing up!

Wimborne Food and drink

Throughout Wimborne, food lovers can explore artisan delights. The Dorset Farmers’ Market in Wimborne Square will showcase the very best local produce – local cheeses, fresh bread, prime meats, and locally caught fish, not forgetting your fruit and vegetables. Liz Crow, Market Lead for Wimborne Farmers’ Market, said: “We’re so chuffed to join the Food Festival this year and showcase our Dorset Farmers’ Market stalls in the Square. It’s the perfect time to dig into Dorset’s early autumn goodies, all grown, baked, caught, or crafted by our passionate producers. Drop by and say hello!”

East Street and Church Street will be transformed into a buzzy café culture, complete with alfresco dining, tasty samples, and live music. Over on Minster Green, a variety of foodie stalls will give festival goers plenty to browse.

Wimborne live music

There’s also a chance for budding bakers to get involved! In celebration of the 80th anniversaries of VE and VJ Days, judges will be on the lookout for the ultimate home-baked British cake – the Victoria Sponge. Entries can be dropped off at the Dacombes of Wimborne stand on Willow Walk from 2.30pm, with judging at 3pm. Slices will be sold afterwards to raise funds for the Mayor of Wimborne’s charities, and the winner will take home a stunning £150 NEFF induction pan set, kindly donated by Dacombes of Wimborne.

Festival organisers Wimborne BID and Dacombes of Wimborne are proud to celebrate the town’s amazing food and drink scene. Matt Renaut, Managing Director of Dacombes of Wimborne, said: “Wimborne has so much to offer when it comes to food and drink, as highlighted recently in Conde Nast Traveller magazine. This festival is the perfect way to showcase it all!”

If you’re a foodie, you won’t want to miss this fabulous event – mark your calendar and head to Wimborne on 20th September, see you there!
