Easter Bonnet Parade

When? 09 April 2023
Where? Lyme Regis

  • Easter Bonnet Parade

Lyme Regis will be aglow with colour and creativity on Easter Sunday as paradegoers gather to show off their fancy hats and beautiful bonnets in the Lyme Regis Easter Bonnet Parade.

The annual Easter headpiece extravaganza returns this year following a two-year hiatus due to Covid.

Come along and take part or just watch the wonderful and extravagant creations parade through the town.

The event is open to all ages with prizes awarded for the most creative bonnets in each age category (0-5, 6-10, 11-16 and adults).

Grab the glue and get your creative juices flowing. You have until 2pm on Easter Sunday to produce your masterpiece.

Entrants are invited to assemble in Lyme Regis Baptist Church for 2pm for judging with the parade commencing outside the church at 3pm. Led by the Mayor of Lyme Regis and Lyme Regis Majorettes, the entrants will make their way down Broad Street to Cobb Gate then proceed along Cart Road and Marine Parade to the Jubilee Pavilion.

Find a space along the route to watch and pop some money in one of the collection buckets. All proceeds go to local good causes.
