Suck Squeeze Bang Blow – How does an engine go?

When? 27 May 2018 to 02 Jun 2018
Where? Haynes Motor Museum - Sherborne

  • Suck Squeeze Bang Blow – How does an engine go?

Calling all motor mechanic enthusiasts – young and old! Join us at Haynes International Motor Museum this half term for a light hearted, informative tour and talk for the whole family discovering the fascinating principles of the glorious internal combustion engine.

The invention of the internal combustion engine in the mid 19th Century completely revolutionised transport and the mechanical principles remain relatively unchanged to this day. From an unassuming single cylinder to a mighty V16 they all still go – suck, squeeze, bang, blow – although some do bang a little louder than other’s!

Tours take place at 11:00am, 12:00pm, 2:00pm and 3:00pm every day from Sunday 27th May to Saturday 2nd June and are recommended for children aged 5+. Please sign up for a tour at Reception when you arrive at the Museum.

The Museum is open every day throughout half term from 9:30am – 5:30pm. Tickets can be pre-booked via www.himm.co.uk
