To celebrate the Queen's Platinum Jubilee, Sherborne Town Council with Sherborne Chamber of Trade & Commerce, Sherborne Indies and Abbey FM have put together a programme of events running from Thursday 2nd June to Saturday 4th June.

As well as all of the events on the attached poster, there will be:

THURSDAY 2nd JUNE
Sherborne Town Band playing a medley of music, for an hour prior to the lighting of the beacon on Thursday 2 June, and a bugler will play ‘Majesty’ around 9.40pm

SATURDAY 4TH JUNE
A primary school children’s fancy dress parade, along Cheap Street, commencing at 3pm, with prizes for the winners.

There will be stalls and street entertainment along Cheap Street.

Everyone is invited to have a family picnic in the gardens with a red, white and blue optional dress code.

Food and drink will be for sale in the gardens, from some of Sherborne’s finest pubs, shops and cafes.

Sherborne Community Kitchen will be holding a Platinum Jubilee Big Lunch.

Merlin Cadogan, Escapologist and Entertainer, who made it through to the semi-final of Britain’s Got Talent will be in Pageant Gardens during the afternoon and evening.

Music during the day and into the evening will include Sherborne Town Band, Wiggle Jazz Band, Livewire and a DJ.

Free parking will be available all day in the town.
