Dorset Geologist’s Association Group (DGAG) will host a Field Trip on the Thursday 14th August 2025.
Walking with Dinosaurs Guided Walks
Meet at 10 am Worth Matravers village car park of Wood Henge fame.
The car park is at BH19 3LE or muscular.snuggled.resist (what3words).
Please note that there is a car park honesty box (£3). The DGAG guided walk is free to members, and a £1 fee for non-members. All ages welcome.

You may have heard of the great opportunities to join family friendly Dorset Geologists’ Association Group (DGAG) and/or National Trust guided walks this Summer to see the 145 million year old dinosaur footprints at the Spyway Quarry in the Purbecks. This is a lovely collaboration between the National Trust’s Purbeck Goes Wild and DGAG.
The DGAG walks will start at the Worth Matravers village car park of Wood Henge fame. The car park is at BH19 3LE or muscular.snuggled.resist (what3words).
The walk is about 2 miles to and from Spyway Quarry and will include a visit to the Square and Compass!
