Weymouth Lifeboat Week

Weymouth Lifeboat Week - 28th July to 3rd August 2024

We continue our 200 celebrations with Weymouth lifeboat week.

Commencing Sunday 28 July with activities then going on throughout the week in and around the harbour - we hope you will join us for as many of them as you can, events include:

Sunday - Parachute display approx 5.30pm between the clock and pleasure pier, followed by the Boat Blessing at 7.30pm on the south harbourside.

Monday - RNLI funday at Nothe Gardens starting at 1.00pm with stalls, music and entertainment throughout the day - come and say hi to Stormy and the crew - and of course in the evening there will be the ever-popular display by the lifeboat crew and coastguards at 7pm.

Continuing on Tuesday we have the fabulous Leggomen performing at The Boat, on Weymouth beach from 7.00pm until 9.00pm.

Wednesday - Always a favourite with children and adults alike, it's crabbing time! See how many you can catch 2.00pm £2 entry, bring your own buckets and bait, but we do have them in the lifeboat shop if you don't have any..

In the evening, we have our second display by the lifeboat crews and local coastguard, this time at Bowleaze Cove commencing at 7.00pm

Thursday - The Official Test Centre, at Portland are supporting us with paddleboarding sessions available, but you'll need to book early!

Heading into the weekend, Friday, sees the return of the very popular Pub Quiz at Nothe Tavern 7.00pm for 7.30pm start (£2 pp, or £6 per team of 4).

Concluding lifeboat week, on Saturday 3rd August, is the lifeboat station open day, come and meet the volunteer crew of Weymouth lifeboat, take a tour of our Severn class all weather lifeboat Earnest and Mabel and the Atlantic 85 inshore lifeboat Jack and Phyl Cleare.
