This year we bring you the 7th Festival of Remembrance to be held in Weymouth. The aim of the Festival of Remembrance is to commemorate all those who have lost their lives in conflicts; we aim to do that with entertainment and reflection.

The Royal British Legion was formed in the aftermath of the First World War when four organisations came together to fight the injustices faced by those returning home after service – and became the British Legion in 1921. From the beginning we campaigned for fair treatment of those who had given so much for their country during the war and provided much needed welfare support and comradeship to millions.

103 years on we continue to respond to the changing needs of the Armed Forces community, providing small interventions to life-changing, and sometimes lifesaving, support.

We are hoping to make this a Festival to Remember.

Please join us for a truly fantastic evening of entertainment featuring the Bovington Military Wives Choir, The Decadettes, HMS Heron Royal Navy Volunteer Band, Let’s Dance School, Dorset Rock Choir, Weymouth School of Ballet

Pre-show meals are available for this show.
Served in the Piano Bar from 5pm. Booking is highly recommended.

Crabbing in Dorset Catch a Crab Crabbing is brilliant traditional family fun; you can spend hours sat on a harbour wall, ice cream in one hand, crabbing net in the other. Where are the best places to catch those crabs? Try Kimmeridge Bay, Mudeford Quay, West Bay Harbour, Poole Quay and Weymouth Harbour all excellent crabbing spots. What will you need to catch them? Use a crabbing net (not a line) plus some bait — they love bacon or smelly fish — and sink the net straight down the ... Read more...
