Weymouth’s much-loved Christmas Light Switch-On event is set to return with a full day of festive celebrations on Saturday 28th November, running from 9am until late. The event continues to grow in popularity, attracting visitors from across the UK who come to experience the town’s unique holiday spirit.
This year, We Are Weymouth is thrilled to announce a renewed attempt to break the Elf World Record - a challenge last undertaken in 2021. With growing momentum and community support, hopes are high that Weymouth will finally claim the title and become the official Elf Capital of the UK.
Already known as the fancy dress capital of the UK, Weymouth is no stranger to unusual celebrations. The town is encouraging both residents and visitors to don their best elf attire and take part in what promises to be a joyful and memorable occasion. Expect a day filled with festive cheer, joyful activities, and the exciting opportunity to be part of history.
