The Royal National Lifeboat Institution is the charity that saves lives at sea. It is funded entirely by public donation.
Weymouth Lifeboat Station is one of the busiest on the south coast, and operates two boats – “Ernest and Mabel” a Severn-class all-weather lifeboat, and “Jack and Phyl Cleare” a B-class Atlantic 85 inshore lifeboat.
For the first time on this scale Weymouth RNLI fundraising team will be hosting a “Monster Quiz” in the Ocean Room. With a first prize of £500, and runner-up and booby prizes, the quiz will be in an exciting format on the giant screen, with pictures and music throughout, along with some brainteasing and novel questions. There will be live entertainment as well as a raffle and a charity auction – all resulting in a great evening for all ages!
Don’t miss this fun opportunity to help our gallant lifeboat-men – and maybe win lots of prizes too!!
