  • Bournemouth & District Band Concert

Bournemouth and District Concert Band is a community wind band which performs regularly across Dorset including Bournemouth, Poole, Christchurch, Wimborne and Ferndown. As one of the largest concert bands in the area, there are 50 musicians of all ages, playing wind band instruments of varying shapes and sizes. Formed 28 years ago, the band is proud to still have some of its original members. The band’s repertoire covers all styles including classical, easy listening, film scores, pop tunes and medleys from the musicals. Having played in the grounds at Highcliffe Castle in the summer concert series for many years, band members are delighted to be invited to perform inside the Castle this time as part of the Christmas festivities. The concert will include something for everyone….wonderful Christmas medleys, well known Christmas film themes, the ever popular Sleigh Ride and of course, traditional carols in which the audience will be invited to sing along! Come along and enjoy a festive evening with Bournemouth and District Concert Band
