Join the team behind the Memory Stones at Tout Quarry Sculpture Park, for the grand unveiling of The Ocean Stone!

Meeting at 1:45pm, at the Memory Stones for the unveiling of the Ocean Stone inscription.
The Ocean Stone is in a spectacular atmospheric setting overlooking the huge expanse of sea and will be reflected in music composed by Neil Heppleston - 'Plankton and the Whale Shark.’

The event will feature short speeches by Greenpeace Exec Director Will McCallum, Cllr Paul Kimber, Portland Mayor Cllr Peter Roper on the ecological importance with acknowledgments from Hannah Sofaer on the artists and people who have worked on the project.
Followed by the unveiling of the Ocean Stone by the people who have helped to carve and lettercut its inscription.

After the unveiling, at around 2:30pm we will lead people through the Green Corridor project through 150 million years of geological time to the Quarry floor and the quarry railway tunnel

All welcome to the Drill Hall (DT5 1BW) from 2:35 - 4pm where you can enjoy refreshments, creative writing, painting, printmaking and stone carving workshops for young people and the community. Please come along to either the unveiling, the activities or both! Work will be exhibited in the hall for a shared photo opportunity.

Greenpeace have asked for a photo release statement to be signed on the day as photos will be used to promote the project.

Three Trishaws will be available with 6 stewards from Cycling without Age to ferry people from the Memory Stones to the Drill Hall for those preferring not to walk.
