Nothe Fort will be hosting its famous Victorian Weekend on 20th – 21st July 2024!
Opening at 10:30am until 4pm on both days, you can expect a whole load of immersive family activities which travel you back in time to the Victorian era.
Award-winning living history group, the Ragged Victorians, are returning once again to give you a glimpse of the day-to-day to people living and surviving under Queen Victoria’s rule.
You can expect outstanding historic military demonstrations from the Nothe Fort Garrison, The Rifle Brigade, and The Bluejackets Re-enactment Society.
There will also be a spectacular displays and demonstrations of traditional crafts such as blacksmithing, wood working, quilting, bookbinding, and more. See how these skills transfer to today!
The Handwritten Letter Appreciation Society will also be returning to teach us about the lost art of letter writing – suitable for all ages.
Punch & Judy is back for the last time this year, on the North Terrace with stunning views, where you can also keep yourselves entertained with a collection of Victorian Games.
The Nothe Fort Victorian Weekend is an unforgettable experience of living history, a brilliantly entrancing and interactive day out for all the family.
