The Bincombe Bolt is a madcap charity run, created to raise money for Cancer Research UK, and Dorset County Hospital.
The race offers a challenge to both the serious athlete looking to test their metal against the mighty Bincombe Hill with the Enduro Hour, and families and children looking amble their way around the classic Bolt single lap.
The course is a short trail loop starting with a descent from the Bincombe Bumps towards Sutton Poyntz. It then turns around to follow a flat track, until you reach the turning point where you start the final 300m hill at an incline of 28%.
Sound HARD? The circuit is under 1 mile in total, so everyone can manage The Classic Bincombe Bolt lap without training, join in and enjoy the views!
Sound too EASY? Push past your limits on The Big Bolt Enduro Hour. complete as many laps as you can over 60 minutes to win the £100 1st prize.
If you can’t compete – come along to cheer the runners on - these heroes need lots of support and deserve the appreciation as you marvel at their strength coming up the hill.
With other fun events throughout the afternoon including wheelbarrow racing, Tug of War, Axe Throwing and more, there’s plenty to keep the kids entertained whilst you get your steps in and complete the Strava Segment…
