The WOW Show - 40th Anniversary

Multi-award winners, WOW Youth Musical Theatre, continue their 40th Anniversary Year with a celebration of musicals featuring a selection from many of the acclaimed musicals and shows the group has performed over the years.

WOW is renowned for its high-quality productions as reflected in this letter to the Dorset Echo about the 2021 WOW Show, “I've been a fan of the WOW shows since they began and Saturday night's performance was just brilliant, exuberant, professional and out of this world, on a par with West End shows, if not better!” The 2015 and 2017 WOW Shows were also judged to be the best in the South West region at the National Operatic and Dramatic Association (NODA) Awards.

The programme is yet to be finalised but is likely to feature musical numbers selected from: 9 to 5, Annie Get Your Gun, Anything goes, Cabaret, Chicago, Fiddler on the Roof, Footloose, Guys and Dolls, Hairspray, Half a Sixpence, Hamilton, Les Misérables, Mary Poppins, The Pajama Game, Rent, We Will Rock You, West Side Story.

The show is professionally directed and choreographed by Martine Burt, who has directed many of WOW’s celebrated productions, including Grease, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and the award-winning WOW Shows. Martine has also received the NODA South West award for Outstanding Choreography.
