Music, Romance and Dance in an Exhilarating Show
Everybody cut loose because Footloose, the Musical, is dancing into Weymouth. This smash hit show is being staged by WOW Youth Musical Theatre, the outstanding group who thrilled audiences with their acclaimed productions of Grease, Oliver! and Everybody's Talking About Jamie: Teen Edition.
Based on the 1984 film starring Kevin Bacon, Footloose tells the story of city boy Ren, who moves from Chicago to a small rural backwater where dancing and rock music are banned. It features classic 80s hits including ‘Holding Out for a Hero’, ‘Let's Hear It for the Boy’ and the exuberant title track.
The show is directed and choreographed by Martine Burt whose shows with WOW have won eight regional awards, including for Best Youth Production and Outstanding Choreography.
