Welcome to the Wessex Folk Festival 2025. The famous free Wessex Folk Festival is held every year in the first week of June and has been established for the past 21 years. It is one of the biggest free festivals in the UK, held on the picturesque Harbourside in Weymouth.

The weekend starts with ‘warm up’ sessions in the harbourside pubs on the Friday afternoon and evening, where people can meet up with friends old and new and begin to enjoy the festival atmosphere.

The whole of Saturday and Sunday are filled with music and fun, with two stages hosting around thirty of the best folk music acts from the UK and abroad. Sessions in a range of pubs around the Quayside also continue all day and into the evening.

There is Morris dancing throughout the weekend, along the harbourside, workshops where you can learn musical things and lots of wonderful trade stalls selling food, drink, clothes, gifts, jewellery, keepsakes – all within the ‘folky vibe’.
