Outdoor Show: Out of the Deep Blue
When? 24 July 2021
Where? Bournemouth
EKO, a sentient Sea Giant, pads onto dry land. There he encounters a young girl called Violet. And that’s where the story begins…
Autin Dance Theatre’s new outdoor show is a tale told in two parts – an interactive promenade and a physical theatre duet. It’s a tale which transports its audiences into another world, to tell a story about our own world.
Through dance, movement and masterful puppeteering, ‘Out of the Deep Blue’ dives into the themes of the climate emergency and the biodiversity crisis. It’s an outdoor spectacle featuring a 4-metre tall Puppet operated by 5 world-class puppeteers and contemporary dancers. Ideal for children and family audiences.
‘Out of the Deep Blue’ will be in:
Poole Park, Poole (Friday 23 July),
Shelley Park, Bournemouth (Saturday 24 July)
Highcliffe Castle garden, Christchurch (Sunday 25 July).
Performances every day at 11am, 2pm and 5pm.
Free to view.
