Bridport Carnival is a must-see event and a highlight of the town's calendar!
The fun-packed extravaganza includes a grand procession held on the third Saturday in August each year and features plenty of floats and colourful walking entries.
Here’s the proposed schedule for this year's carnival commencing Monday 15th August.
Monday 15th August – Crowning of Bridport Royalty – Location to be advised.
Tuesday 16th – Carnival Quiz at The Ropemakers, West Street, 7.30pm.
Wednesday 17th – Carnival Bingo at The Bridport Football Club. Eyes down 7.30pm.
Thursday 18th – Battle of the Buskers – To be advised.
Friday 19th – Darts Competition – at the Bridport Football Club. Sign on from 7.00pm.
Saturday 20th – Music from the Wessex Band in Bucky Doo Square from 10am.
Carnival Procession 6.45pm
Dancing in Bucky Doo Square ’til late.
Sunday 21st – Torchlight Procession. Torches on sale from 6.00pm
Procession moves off at 9.00pm
Dancing on East Beach
Followed by Firework Display.
